Zecter allows you to share files up to 100MB in size. With the beta plan you can share any number of files. Absolutely. Your files are transferred securely to our servers, where they are encrypted. You can share any file type using Zecter. Zecter ZDrive is available for Windows XP, Vista and for OS X Tiger and Leopard. If the person you are sharing with has edit privileges then they will be able to see everyone else the file is shared with. If the person you are sharing with only has view or download privileges then

1. If you allow them to re-share they can see everyone else the file is shared with.
2. If you don’t allow them to re-share then they cannot see anyone the file is shared with.

No. When you add a file to ZDrive it will automatically be synchronized to the server. No one besides you will be able to view it. However, if you have already shared a folder with a friend then any changes you make to that folder, like adding new files, will be automatically synchronized to your friend’s computer. No. If it’s a file type that Zecter supports for online viewing then they can view it online, otherwise they can download a copy of the file and view it locally. Yes. In order to edit files using Zecter, you will need to download ZDrive. Absolutely. Zecter is ideal for quick collaboration. Once you’ve shared your files, any changes you make will be automatically synchronized to your collaborators’ computers. Any changes made by the collaborators will be automatically tracked. Zecter also creates versions automatically. Yes. If you have ZDrive installed on different machines, then your changes will be automatically synchronized. Yes. You can log onto www.zecter.com and restore the file from the recycle bin. Absolutely. Zecter allows you to easily share with any number of people, and you can specify individual privileges for each user. If you have ZDrive installed, when you ‘Accept a share to ZDrive’ it will be automatically synchronized to your computer. Any further changes you make to the file will also be automatically synchronized. Your files will be synchronized to your ZDrive only if you ‘Accept the share to ZDrive’. Zecter supports all the Office 2007 and earlier formats, along with Adobe PDF, image, and text formats. When you make a change to your document, Zecter may take a couple minutes to update the online preview. The green arrow icon overlay indicates that your file is being uploaded. The red arrow icon overlay indicates that changes to your file are being downloaded. The orange icon overlay indicates that the file/folder was shared with you. In order to revert to an earlier version, you need to

1. Log onto www.zecter.com
2. Locate your file that you want to revert.
3. Click on the history tab.
4. Identify which version you want to select and download it.
5. Replace the current version in your ZDrive with this one.
